2024 CyberCorp Scholars pose with their certificates

Sept. 25, 2024 The 2024 CyberCorp Scholars at 成人直播 State University have been announced. The scholarship aims to increase the workforce of cybersecurity professionals in government.

Feb. 15, 2024 鈥 Ten high school students from Kansas, Missouri and Texas have been awarded the Koch Scholarship at 成人直播 State University, starting in the fall 2024 semester. Each scholar each will be awarded $30,000 to attend WSU over four years.

Accessible Design projects

July 11, 2023 鈥 The Accessible Design course concerned 成人直播 State University junior Reagan Kelley at first. She wasn鈥檛 an engineering major and wasn鈥檛 sure what she could contribute. The payoff at the end of the project made it worthwhile. Kelley, an exercise science major, and three other students modified an all-terrain wheelchair for a nine-year-old boy who outgrew the chair鈥檚 previous dimensions.

Feb. 24, 2023 鈥 成人直播 State University鈥檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program.

June 3, 2022 - Chidera Okoro is learning computer skills and coding language as an intern at 成人直播 State University鈥檚 Media Resources Center. She competes in the long jump and triple jump for the track and field team and is a three-time member of the Athletic Director鈥檚 Honor Roll.

May 26, 2022 鈥 An interdisciplinary team from 成人直播 State University will participate in a $24 million state initiative to help rural and urban communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters.

Three 成人直播 State University freshmen created Everwhen, meant to be a low-cost and time saving way to identify which available spots in parking lots.

May 18, 2022 鈥 Three 成人直播 State University students were named the champions of the 2022 Koch Innovation Challenge with their idea to ease parking frustrations via an app called Everwhen.

May 16, 2022 - Cameron McGinley鈥檚 work with machine learning with Dr. Sergio Salinas grew into one of the most rewarding parts of his education at 成人直播 State. McGinley will attend the University of California, San Diego for a Master of Science in computer science. Cameron is one of more than 2,400 students eligible for spring 2022 graduation. 2022 Wallace Scholars

March 25, 2022 鈥斅牫扇酥辈 State University鈥檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program. Ten Wallace Scholarship recipients will receive $28,500 each to attend 成人直播 State for four years. In addition, two students receiving other major university scholarships will be designated as Wallace Scholars.

Feb. 21, 2022 鈥 A proposal submitted by an interdisciplinary 成人直播 State University team of seven members was selected for the top 10 in the 2021-22 NASA Space Suit Interface Technologies for Students (SUITS) Design Challenge.

Cybersecurity applied learning

June 22, 2021 - Joe Jabara doesn鈥檛 call his class Hacking 101, but his students do learn how to develop effective attacks on computer systems. The course is actually called Applied Computing Intermediate Design Project, and this past spring its students carried out phishing attempts against a targeted group of 成人直播 State University faculty, staff and students.

Lydia Melles and Lucy Hoang, 成人直播 State University computer science major students, work on an autonomous robot that uses ultraviolet C-lights (UVC) to fight COVID-19 at the McConnell Air Force Base Innovation Lab.  The two senior students partnered with the McConnell Innovation Lab as part of their is part of their senior design class.

May 12, 2021 鈥 Two 成人直播 State University seniors have partnered with the McConnell Air Force Base Innovation Lab to help fight COVID-19 鈥 by using robotics. Computer science majors Lucy Hoang and Lydia Melles are creating an autonomous robot that uses ultraviolet C-lights (UVC) to clean grocery stores.
