Aug. 28, 2023 - Kathy Downes, dean of University Libraries since 2017, came to 成人直播 State in 1979 as a biomedical librarian. She will retire this fall semester. Downes played a central role as Ablah Library expanded and the digital services of University Libraries grew in number and importance.

Aug. 28, 2023 鈥� Through the 成人直播 State University chapter of Engineers without Borders, three Shockers recently began the process of working with the rural community of Mercedes de Agua Sucia in Manabi, Ecuador, to build a pedestrian bridge that will give residents safe passage to the main road and nearby cities to sell the goods and products from their farms, shop in nearby El Carmen, and for children to attend school.

Aug. 15, 2023 - Hannah Bui is now prepared to work with French-speaking colleagues at Airbus, thanks to 鈥淏usiness French for Beginners鈥� taught by 成人直播 State University lecturer Rachelle Swilley. Bui, a static stress engineer at Airbus, was one of about 15 employees who took the six-week course, taught for two hours each Friday, this summer at Airbus on WSU鈥檚 Innovation Campus.

Aug. 3, 2023 鈥� Bolstered by a $2 million National Science Foundation grant, a group of 成人直播 State researchers is hoping to create a paradigm shift from the use of harmful nitrous oxide-based fertilizers to more eco-friendly nitrogen fertilizers that would reduce greenhouse gases.

Five faculty members led the interdisciplinary course presenting content from their field focused on the theme 鈥淐onnected Leadership: Creating a Community of Leaders.鈥� Students then were tasked to apply course content to challenges presented by local community partners.

July 20, 2023 - As 成人直播 State University鈥檚 Innovation Campus approaches its 10th anniversary, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities is recognizing the Innovation Campus鈥� role in cultivating research and innovation. The APLU today named 成人直播 State University as one of five finalists for its 11th annual Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University Awards.

July 10, 2023 鈥� A new Jersey Mike鈥檚 Subs is set to open Wednesday, July 12 in 成人直播 State University鈥檚 Braeburn Square on the Innovation Campus.
