Feb. 7, 2023 鈥 In the nation鈥檚 ongoing efforts to thwart cyberattacks and scammers, the National Science Foundation has awarded 成人直播 State University more than $2.4 million to educate and prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Feb. 7, 2023 - A consortium of four local institutions (成人直播 State, WSU Tech, Newman University and Friends University) is bringing Dr. Gina Ann Garcia to 成人直播 for the talk 鈥淏ecoming Hispanic-Serving Institutions,鈥 at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 9, in Newman's DeMattias Performance Hall.

Feb. 6, 2023 鈥 The 成人直播 State University College of Engineering is hosting an Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) event, commonly known as Girl Day, for high school girls from 成人直播 Public Schools. The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom on the third floor of the Rhatigan Student Center.

Jan. 27, 2023 鈥 成人直播 State University has selected the 2023 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. Each student will receive a $64,000 scholarship to attend 成人直播 State University in August 2023.

Jan. 24, 2023 鈥 成人直播 State University has selected the top 14 finalists in the annual Distinguished Scholarship Invitational (DSI).

Jan. 23, 2023 鈥 A recent "PBS News Hour鈥 story highlights the role 成人直播 State University plays in the arts community of 成人直播. 鈥湷扇酥辈 State has a hand in almost every arts entity in the 成人直播 metropolitan area, from the symphony to the art museum,鈥 said Dr. Rodney Miller, dean of the College of Fine Arts.

Jan. 18, 2023 - High school seniors now have more opportunity to take advantage of freshmen merit scholarships 鈥 worth up to $16,000 over four years at 成人直播 State University 鈥 because of a new deadline for applicants.

Dec. 15, 2022 鈥 Betty and Art Wood shared a passion for music throughout their lives, and their legacy of supporting the arts continues through their gift of $1 million from their estate to support the Music Associates Endowed Fund at 成人直播 State.

Dec. 5, 2022 鈥 成人直播 State University earned status as an Emerging Hispanic Serving Institution when fall enrollment numbers show that 16% of students identify as Hispanic. That is an important milestone on the way to the university鈥檚 goal of reaching the 25% necessary to earn designation as an HSI by the end of this decade.

Zhi Wei Won

Dec. 1, 2022 - Zhi Wei Won used her time at 成人直播 State to work on skills in and out of the classroom. She met new people and expanded her social circle through school activities. Nov. 30, 2022 鈥 Valerie Hubener worked in several labs across campus until she found a field of interest that was perfect for her in user-experience (UX) design.

Daniel Baird

Nov. 30, 2022 鈥 After earning his bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in sociology, Daniel Baird plans to attend graduate school, where he will integrate clinical work with the handpan 鈥 a sort of convex steel drum that emits calming, hypnotic sounds 鈥 which he believes is a powerful therapeutic instrument.聽

Oct. 12, 2022 鈥斅燗s 成人直播 State University celebrates record enrollment, the university is bolstering its student success initiatives to increase graduation rates. As part of those efforts, the National Science Foundation has awarded WSU researchers $750,000 to increase persistence rates among low-income engineering students, particularly those who are interested in advanced manufacturing careers.
