2023 DSI finalists

Dec. 5, 2022 鈥 成人直播 State University earned status as an Emerging Hispanic Serving Institution when fall enrollment numbers show that 16% of students identify as Hispanic. That is an important milestone on the way to the university鈥檚 goal of reaching the 25% necessary to earn designation as an HSI by the end of this decade.

Nov. 30, 2022 鈥 Delane Vaughn loved science and her biology teacher at Mulvane High School 鈥 Joe Johnson 鈥 started her on a path to 成人直播 State University as the first person in her family to attend college. She worked, raised a family and attended WSU and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Oct. 19, 2022 鈥 Following a national search, 成人直播 State University鈥檚 newly restructured alumni organization 鈥 the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement 鈥 has hired Stacie Williamson as its new vice president for alumni engagement, effective Nov. 28.

Oct. 12, 2022 鈥斅燗s 成人直播 State University celebrates record enrollment, the university is bolstering its student success initiatives to increase graduation rates. As part of those efforts, the National Science Foundation has awarded WSU researchers $750,000 to increase persistence rates among low-income engineering students, particularly those who are interested in advanced manufacturing careers.

Oct. 3, 2022 鈥 A research team led by researchers with 成人直播 State鈥檚 College of Engineering and Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recently received funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for their proposal, "The Development of a Smart Telehealth ECG and Human Activity Monitoring System to Improve Cardiovascular health of Older Adults."

The project 鈥 ECO-CBET: Convergent Electrolysis-Electrodialysis System (CEES) to Curb Urban Chloride Pollution by Eco-friendly Road Deicing and Waste Salt Upcycling 鈥 was recently awarded $1.4 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
