In commemoration of Women鈥檚 History Month, we鈥檝e compiled a list of just a few of the women who have contributed to the greatness of Shocker Nation.

Feb. 23, 2022 鈥� 成人直播 State alumnus J. Robert Young has pledged a gift of $3 million to provide resources that will help students build successful careers. Of that total, $2 million will endow the J. Robert Young Executive-in-Residence Program in the W. Frank Barton School of Business. The remaining $1 million will support the Shocker Success Center project, which will consolidate 17 student services in Clinton Hall.

Feb. 22, 2022 - The Dean鈥檚 Advisory Board for the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人直播 State University is excited to announce Margaret Dechant as its new leader. Dechant, CEO and partner at 6 Meridian, will take over for Clark Bastian. Dechant currently serves as a member of the board and looks to bring her knowledge and passion for the Barton School and WSU to her appointment. Bastian chairman of Fidelity Bank, will remain on the board after his term as chair comes to an end in June.

Feb. 22, 2022 鈥� The 成人直播 Litter Study was borne from community concern about the number of single-use plastic bags floating throughout the city. The study focused on 12 small sites within 成人直播 municipal parks 鈥� two parks within each city council district; and the data, while concerning, was not altogether a surprise for the research team.

Feb. 18, 2022 鈥� The entrance to 成人直播 State University鈥檚 Innovation Campus on the corner of 21st and Oliver streets is about to get a Shocker makeover with new signage and landscaping.

Feb. 15, 2022 鈥� In the next steps toward the creation of the University Village, 成人直播 State University is seeking public feedback and engagement on the lead proposals.

Feb. 14, 2022 - The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人直播 State University has named Jon Rolph, president and CEO of Thrive Restaurant Group and a member of the Kansas Board of Regents, its Executive-in-Residence for the spring 2022 semester.

Jan. 28, 2022 鈥敵扇酥辈� State University has selected the 2022 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. Each student will receive a $64,000 scholarship to attend WSU in fall 2022.

Jan. 24, 2022 鈥� Valeria Paunetto, originally from Puerto Rico, won the Adelante Scholarship in 2021, which has helped her pursue a degree in social work at 成人直播 State.

Jan. 18, 2022 鈥� 成人直播 State鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab (MDL) is open and continues to process thousands of COVID tests with 24-hour results. However, the lab has indefinitely suspended its COVID test collection service.

Jan. 10, 2022 鈥� Dr. Bobby Berry has been named assistant dean for diversity and outreach for the College of Applied Studies at 成人直播 State University.

December 6, 2021 - Arts at 成人直播 State University benefit the city and state in ways that range from tourism to education to mental wellness. 成人直播 State鈥檚 Center for Economic Development and Business Research, part of the W. Frank Barton School of Business, attempted to measure those contributions in its Arts and Culture Impact Analysis for 2021. The study is part of the CEDBR鈥檚 series of studies that demonstrate how the university drives the local and state economy.

Dec. 2, 2021 鈥� In an effort to meet community needs, 成人直播 State University鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab (MDL) has developed a test to detect all three viruses 鈥� RSV, influenza and COVID-19 (RIC) 鈥� from one nasal swab. The RIC test is available to all individuals and partners who test via the MDL.

Nov. 30, 2021 鈥� 成人直播 State University's efforts to recruit and retain students from historically underserved and underrepresented areas rank it in the top 28% of the 2021 Social Mobility Index (SMI). The 2021 SMI, calculated by CollegeNET Inc., benchmarks 1,549 four-year colleges and universities in the United States according to how effectively they enroll students from low-income backgrounds and graduate them into well-paying jobs.

Nov. 29, 2022 -- Further extending its community outreach, 成人直播 State has partnered with 成人直播 Habitat for Humanity to build a house near campus for a 成人直播 family with three children.
