Wreath at Memorial

At 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 成人直播 State will host the 52nd observance of Memorial '70, the annual ceremony that honors the 31 WSU football players, administrators and supporters who died in a 1970 plane crash in the Rocky Mountains. It will take place at the Memorial near 18th and Hillside.

A memorial at milepost 217, near the Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70, is near the site of the 1970 plane crash in Colorado.

Sept. 6, 2022 - 成人直播 State University鈥檚 College of Innovation and Design announces Dr. Ryan Amick as one of our Innovators in Residence for the 2022-2023 academic year. Amick, a 成人直播 State alumnus, is a principal human factors engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Aug. 12, 2022 - Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, the state-of-the-art facility that will be home to the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人直播 State University, is set to open for classes Aug. 22.

July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore 成人直播 State鈥 is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

June 22, 2022 鈥 成人直播 State alum Julian Chee has been flying high since his graduation from 成人直播 State in 2021. Not only has he landed a job with Airbus on the Innovation Campus, but he's also designed the paper airplane that broke the world record for distance.

May 6, 2022 鈥 Pamela Clancy Ammar and Alex Ammar were named recipients of the 2022 Fairmount Founders鈥 Award at the annual Fairmount Society dinner held on May 5 at Mark Arts. The WSU Foundation gives the award out annually to recognize those who provide outstanding service and generosity to 成人直播 State University.

April 15, 2022 鈥 Deborah J. (Davis) Bardo, former first lady of 成人直播 State University, died April 15, 2022. Mrs. Bardo was married to WSU鈥檚 13th president, Dr. John Bardo, for 44 years until his death on March 12, 2019. She is survived by their son, Christopher.

April 7, 2022 鈥 Two 成人直播-area teachers who graduated from 成人直播 State University鈥檚 School of Education were recently recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom by the White House with the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Bhisham Sharma, an assistant professor in aerospace engineering, and Shuang Gu, an associate professor in the department of mechanical engineering, two recipients of John A. See Innovation Award.

March 14, 2022鈥擳wo 成人直播 State researchers and a student group have been awarded the John A. See Innovation Award. The award is given each year as a way to recognize novel ideas that have the potential to meet a market need and attract further funding once they have advanced through the early prototyping phase.

March 7, 2022 - 成人直播 State alums Matt and Stephanie Clark taught English to students from fifth grade to high school in Ukraine from 2006-08 as Peace Corps members. Their friends and their warm memories are in turmoil as the Russian invasion wears on in their adopted country. They rely on social media to hear from former students, host families and friends, as they try to sort good information from bad and bring attention to the crisis.

Nelsen Petersen

March 4, 2022 - Nelsen Petersen, a 成人直播 State alum, is a high school teacher, author, filmmaker and running enthusiast who developed strong connections with Ukraine during his travels. Later this month, he plans to go to Cluj-Napoca, a Romanian city near Ukraine to help in refugee camps. He wants to spend four or five days during his spring break in the region.
