Fall 2023 enrollments for WSU and WSU Tech

Sept. 27, 2023 鈥 成人直播 State University's efforts to transform the educational experience for students and redefine the role of a university to foster statewide economic growth have yielded remarkable results: the highest enrollment in its 128-year history.

Sept. 26, 2023 - Kian Williams, a junior at 成人直播 State University, is helping the Kansas Aviation Museum chart its future. The work researching aviation connects with the background that shaped a love for history. Williams volunteered at the Reno County Museum as a youngster.

Sept. 18, 2023 鈥 The community will soon have a new restaurant to choose from when Two Hands Corn Dogs opens on 成人直播 State University鈥檚 campus Friday, Sept. 22.

Sept. 11, 2023 鈥 成人直播 State University is holding a parade next month and is inviting anyone in the community to join in. Starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 on the WSU campus, the parade is part of the university鈥檚 annual Shocktoberfest celebration.

Sept. 5, 2023 - 鈥淭eaching is for Superheroes!鈥 offers 鈥渋nsight and inspiration for your classroom (tights and cape optional.鈥 It鈥檚 targeted at new, veteran and aspiring teachers and uses superhero archetypes to help educators understand their role, improve their skills and maintain enthusiasm during a challenging time.

Aug. 15, 2023 - Hannah Bui is now prepared to work with French-speaking colleagues at Airbus, thanks to 鈥淏usiness French for Beginners鈥 taught by 成人直播 State University lecturer Rachelle Swilley. Bui, a static stress engineer at Airbus, was one of about 15 employees who took the six-week course, taught for two hours each Friday, this summer at Airbus on WSU鈥檚 Innovation Campus.

Aug. 4, 2023 鈥 成人直播 State University and WSU Tech are key drivers of economic growth, fueling job creation, fostering industry partnerships, and supporting local businesses 鈥 and the numbers prove it. According to the 2022 Economic Impact Study, WSU and WSU Tech鈥檚 total economic impact in Kansas in 2021 was $1.3 billion.

Aug. 1, 2023 鈥 The 成人直播 City Council approved a plan today that will move forward a project between 成人直播 State University and the University of Kansas to build a 471,000-square-foot health sciences center in the heart of downtown 成人直播.

July 28, 2023 - Eight students representing six WSU colleges recently participated in the Lead for Tomorrow Leadership Academy in the Cohen Honors College. Five faculty members led the interdisciplinary course presenting content from their field focused on the theme 鈥淐onnected Leadership: Creating a Community of Leaders.鈥 Students then were tasked to apply course content to challenges presented by local community partners.

Accessible Design projects

July 11, 2023 鈥 The Accessible Design course concerned 成人直播 State University junior Reagan Kelley at first. She wasn鈥檛 an engineering major and wasn鈥檛 sure what she could contribute. The payoff at the end of the project made it worthwhile. Kelley, an exercise science major, and three other students modified an all-terrain wheelchair for a nine-year-old boy who outgrew the chair鈥檚 previous dimensions.

July 10, 2023 鈥 A new Jersey Mike鈥檚 Subs is set to open Wednesday, July 12 in 成人直播 State University鈥檚 Braeburn Square on the Innovation Campus.

June 13, 2023 - Dr. Kevin Harrison and long-time friends Ricardo Harris and Kenneth Hawkins created an 80-minute documentary film 鈥淭he Silent Cries of Unheard Ghetto Children." The film explores the aftermath of the 1965 plane crash near 20th and Piatt streets.
