Aug. 2, 2021 鈥� The National Science Foundation has awarded a $200,000 grant to Dr. Ajita Rattani, an assistant professor in the College of Engineering鈥檚 School of Computing, that seeks to improve facial recognition technology, addressing civil liberties concerns that some demographic groups are more likely to be misidentified.

July 6, 2021 - Gianluca Gabriele, 17, is an incoming freshman who plans to major in biomedical engineering at 成人直播 State University. Rowing is his passion, and he will spend the summer under consideration for both the 2024 summer Paralympic and Olympic training teams for the United States. When he returns to 成人直播 State later this summer, he will join the Shockers crew team.

June 29, 2021 - Alicia Sanchez is assistant dean of students and director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at 成人直播 State University. In May, she earned a senate-confirmed appointment to the Kansas Human Rights Commission as an At-Large member.

June 21, 2021 -- 成人直播 State is holding a community event, Shockers Under the Stars, beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, outside the Ulrich Museum of Art on the main campus.

Media and the community are invited to attend the JunteenthICT Parade, sponsored by 成人直播 State University鈥檚 Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

The parade celebrates the 156th anniversary of Juneteenth during the JuneteenthICT Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19. The parade route will begin at 17th Street and Hillside, going west, and eventually ending at McAdam鈥檚 Park, where the all-day Juneteenth ICT celebration will take place.

June 10, 2021 鈥� Continuing a tradition that spans 135 years and more than 500 chapters worldwide Abby Carney and Munonyedi Egbo, both graduate students, were recently initiated into the 成人直播 State University chapter of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society.

June 9, 2021 - 成人直播 State鈥檚 Esports director Courtney Calder played soccer more often than video games growing up in California. Those experiences, however, helped prepare her for running the Esports program, as did her time working in sales for Apple after graduating from Northwestern University. 成人直播 State鈥檚 varsity program, housed in the Heskett Center, offers four teams competing in Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Valorant.

June 7, 2021 鈥� 成人直播 State University has entered an agreement with the University of Kansas School of Law to offer the Legal Education Accelerated Degree program, with an anticipated launch of fall 2021.

May 17, 2021 -- The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人直播 State University has partnered with WSU Tech to create a pathway program for WSU Tech students committed to continuing their education with a business degree.

Sierra Brown chose to come to 成人直播 State for the welcoming environment provided by the in the Shocker Nation prior to choosing a university. While at 成人直播 State, she participated in the Professional Edge Program and served as president of the Barton School Dean鈥檚 Ambassadors.

Abigail Hammack, a native 成人直播n, came to 成人直播 State because of the great reputation of the public administration program with applied learning opportunities. During her time at WSU, she was able to work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Public Policy & Management Center at WSU and a Management Intern at the City of Andover.
