Jan. 27, 2021 鈥 For three decades, an interdisciplinary team at 成人直播 State has been exploring how machine learning 鈥 also known as artificial intelligence 鈥 can maximize the potential of quantum computing.

Jan. 4, 2021 鈥 The 3D printing revolution is nothing short of remarkable, but it also produces a considerable amount of waste. In fact, it鈥檚 estimated that up to 19% of 3D printing is waste. A team of interdisciplinary researchers at 成人直播 State University is working to create sustainable 3D printing practices to reduce that waste.

KBOR approves new programs.

Dec. 17, 2020 鈥 With the intention of furthering 成人直播 State University鈥檚 commitment to digital transformation, the Kansas Board of Regents has approved four degree programs that will launch in spring 2021: Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics, Master of Science in Data Science, Master of Science in Business Analytics, and Master of Science in Mathematical Foundations of Data Analysis. These degrees are in addition to existing undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates in applied computing, computer science, cybersecurity, homeland security, and supply chain.

Dec. 7, 2020 鈥 Ten 成人直播 State University political science students were recently accepted into the Washington, D.C. and Topeka Internship Program. The program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to earn nine course credits while interning in D.C. or Topeka.

While pursuing degrees in journalism and political science, Kylie was involved in The Sunflower student newspaper and the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College. Nov. 16, 2020 鈥 Nicole Ukoefreso, a native 成人直播n, knew she wanted to attend 成人直播 State for most of her life because she admired 成人直播 State students for their involvement in the community. Nicole is one of more than 1,200 students eligible for fall 2020 graduation.

Nov. 5, 2020 鈥 A team of researchers at 成人直播 State University is working to promote health equity among vulnerable populations. The all-woman, cross-disciplinary team is focusing its initial efforts on issues related to obesity among underrepresented groups.

Inneke Vargas, from Houston, appreciates the interdisciplinary approach of her liberal arts degree from 成人直播 State University. After graduate school, she wants to work on policy changes to help eliminate health disparities. 鈥淢y research broadly focuses on the effects of mental health stigma, particularly among African Americans, across the lifespan,鈥 she wrote. 鈥淢ore narrowly, I am currently interested in the ways mental health care inequities disproportionately affect minority men during adolescence and very late adulthood.鈥

Oct. 22, 2020 鈥 Carryl Baldwin, 成人直播 State鈥檚 Carl and Rozina Cassat Distinguished Professor of Aging, received the 2020 Woman of the Year Award, presented by the Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE) Society, Human Factors and Ergonomics Women鈥檚 Organization for Mentorship and Networking.
