Dec. 10, 2020 - Hannah Wilkinson, 成人直播 State's associate head strength and conditioning coach, is taking donations for Catholic Charities Harbor House domestic violence shelter and service. The campaign is an extension of the toy drive that strength and conditioning coach Kerry Rosenboom organized in previous years.

Dec. 10, 2020 -- The Kansas Board of Regents has approved the creation of the newest department at 成人直播 State University鈥檚 College of Engineering 鈥 the School of Computing. Dean Dennis Livesay called the establishment of the new school a significant marker of the university鈥檚 commitment to producing digital-skilled workforce needed by industry.

Dec. 2, 2020 鈥 成人直播 State has been successful in minimizing the spread of COVID-19 because college students are following social distancing guidelines. 成人直播 State鈥檚 Rho Beta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta and the Zeta Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta have had no cases of COVID-19.

Shocker Commitment

Dec. 1, 2020 鈥 成人直播 State University has created a scholarship and support network to help those nearest to its campus. The Shocker Neighborhood Commitment provides funding to make college more affordable and attainable for recent high school graduates living in the Shocker Neighborhood.

Dec. 1, 2020 鈥 Two new battery-powered buses wrapped in Shocker pride will soon be seen zipping through 成人直播鈥檚 streets. 成人直播 Transit recently unveiled the 成人直播 State University-branded buses, which are ecofriendly, filled with modern conveniences, and will circulate among the university鈥檚 main campus, as well as 成人直播 State South, WSU Tech and the Metroplex.

December 1, 2020 - 成人直播 State鈥檚 Division of Diversity and Inclusion is organizing 鈥淭enacious Men,鈥 a program designed to provide mentoring and STEM education for underrepresent students in 成人直播 Public Schools.

Nov. 18, 2020 鈥 There were two Shocker milestones in 1964: 成人直播 University became 成人直播 State University, and a 17-year-old Martha Backman walked onto the 成人直播 State campus and began her college education. It took 56 years, but the 73-year-old is finally graduating with her degree in aging studies.聽

Nov. 17, 2020 鈥 Kylie Cameron chose to attend 成人直播 State after learning about the abundance of opportunities offered. While pursuing degrees in journalism and political science, Kylie was involved in The Sunflower student newspaper and the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College. Nov. 16, 2020 鈥 LaShaya Lawrie chose 成人直播 State because it鈥檚 close to home. While pursuing her Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering, LaShaya became involved on campus. LaShaya is one of more than 1,200 students eligible for fall 2020 graduation.

Nov. 16, 2020 鈥 Since kindergarten, Jenna Maxwell knew she wanted to be an elementary school teacher and decided to attend 成人直播 State for its teaching program. Jenna is one of more than 1,200 students eligible for fall 2020 graduation.

Nov. 12, 2020 鈥 The National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) has received another $13.7 million contract from the United States Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to extend the Modeling for Affordable, Sustainable Composites (MASC) research program.

Ya-Aida Sillah, a health management major from 成人直播, took a lead role in 鈥淢ask Up!,鈥 a Department of Public Health Sciences group project designed to help students understand COVID-19 and health protection. Answers revealed four areas commonly misunderstood. 鈥 Some students did not know that fleece and gaiter-style masks are not recommended for preventing the spread of COVID-19. 鈥 Some students assumed a person鈥檚 vulnerability to COVID-19 would be visible. In many cases, a person鈥檚 vulnerability to the virus may be hidden. 鈥 Some students were unaware that nausea and vomiting are potential symptoms. 鈥 Some students did not know that monitoring for fever and other symptoms daily is recommended.

November 9, 2020 - KPTS recognized 成人直播 State University Military & Veteran Services with its Distinguished Veterans Coming Home Business Award in a special program that aired on Nov. 5 on Channel 8. WSU鈥檚 Military & Veteran Services provides assistance with Veteran Affairs educational benefits, provides counseling, testing and other service.
