NIAR鈥檚 ability to provide applied learning experience for students will expand with a $2.1 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration for the purchase and installation of equipment for the institute鈥檚 Flight Test Research Center and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility on South Oliver near Spirit AeroSystems.

Sept. 20, 2021 -- The College of Health Professions has reorganized its general health science courses into the Scientific Foundations Division. The restructuring is intended to expand student exposure to clinical expertise of the college鈥檚 faculty, as well as the unique facilities within the college. The new divisional structure will build on the college鈥檚 nationally recognized educational experience for students in the health professions.聽

Sept. 10, 2021 鈥� 成人直播 State University Campus Recreation and the University Police Department teamed up this summer to teach more than 200 children from the 成人直播 community how to swim. The program was made possible by the Michael Phelps Foundation Grant received by Campus Recreation.

Sept. 8, 2021 鈥� WERX at 成人直播 State University鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) has received its first Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft. As part of its rapidly growing Maintenance Repair and Overhaul program, WSU-NIAR WERX, in conjunction with Kansas Modification Center, will convert the passenger aircraft into a freighter that will be transferred to an external client to meet the growing needs of the e-commerce and express cargo market.

Aug. 31, 2021 鈥� Wu Crew Reads is a pilot program between 成人直播 State University and Gordon Parks Elementary School. Members of the 成人直播 State community spend 20 minutes every week reading to and with third-graders via a virtual platform.
