NIAR completes ground vibration testing for Kansas Modification Center鈥檚 777-300ERCF conversion

On March 9, 2022, the B-1 System Program Office (SPO), Tinker AFB, OK awarded a six-year, $100 million follow-on contract to 成人直播 State University鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) to continue the B-1鈥檚 Digital Engineering (DE) transformation. The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) helped form the strategic partnership and created a flexible contract structure, which allows NIAR and the B-1 SPO to adapt requirements real-time to meet critical warfighter needs.

Frank Barton School of Business, recently ran an exploratory study about how people interact on Zoom.

Their friends and their warm memories are in turmoil as the Russian invasion wears on in their adopted country. They rely on social media to hear from former students, host families and friends, as they try to sort good information from bad and bring attention to the crisis.

March 4, 2022 - Nelsen Petersen, a 成人直播 State alum, is a high school teacher, author, filmmaker and running enthusiast who developed strong connections with Ukraine during his travels. Later this month, he plans to go to Cluj-Napoca, a Romanian city near Ukraine to help in refugee camps. He wants to spend four or five days during his spring break in the region.

March 1, 2022 鈥 成人直播 State鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab (MDL) is re-opening COVID test collections to the public starting today (March 1).

Jill Cobb, who graduated in 1977 with a general studies degree, became a forensic pathologist. Cobb has pulled some dark truths from some dark places around the world, including Bosnia in the aftermath of the former Yugoslavia鈥檚 civil war. She monitored and assisted in the exhumation and identification of war casualties as a member of Physicians for Human Rights.

Feb. 24, 2022 鈥斅燭he W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人直播 State University has chosen two recipients to receive the 2022 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Cohen Ayres from Garden Plains and Grace Simon of 成人直播. They will each receive $32,700 over four years to attend WSU and major in entrepreneurship.

J. Robert Young

Feb. 23, 2022 鈥 成人直播 State alumnus J. Robert Young has pledged a gift of $3 million to provide resources that will help students build successful careers. Of that total, $2 million will endow the J. Robert Young Executive-in-Residence Program in the W. Frank Barton School of Business. The remaining $1 million will support the Shocker Success Center project, which will consolidate 17 student services in Clinton Hall.

Feb. 22, 2022 - The Dean鈥檚 Advisory Board for the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人直播 State University is excited to announce Margaret Dechant as its new leader. Dechant, CEO and partner at 6 Meridian, will take over for Clark Bastian. Dechant currently serves as a member of the board and looks to bring her knowledge and passion for the Barton School and WSU to her appointment. Bastian chairman of Fidelity Bank, will remain on the board after his term as chair comes to an end in June.

Feb. 22, 2022 鈥 The 成人直播 Litter Study was borne from community concern about the number of single-use plastic bags floating throughout the city. The study focused on 12 small sites within 成人直播 municipal parks 鈥 two parks within each city council district; and the data, while concerning, was not altogether a surprise for the research team.

Feb. 21, 2022 鈥 A proposal submitted by an interdisciplinary 成人直播 State University team of seven members was selected for the top 10 in the 2021-22 NASA Space Suit Interface Technologies for Students (SUITS) Design Challenge.

Feb. 14, 2022 - The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人直播 State University has named Jon Rolph, president and CEO of Thrive Restaurant Group and a member of the Kansas Board of Regents, its Executive-in-Residence for the spring 2022 semester.

Jan. 24, 2022 鈥 Six 成人直播 State University teams were selected as semi-finalists in the university鈥檚 sixth annual Koch Innovation Challenge Angel Round on December 3. Those six teams of 成人直播 State students advance to the Grand Champion competition in May.
